A voucher is your official record of the work you performed on set. Think of it as your timecard.
It documents important information such as:
- Your work date
- Your hours worked
- Meal penalties (if applicable)
- Bumps or additional compensation
- Payroll information
Depending on the production, you'll complete either a digital voucher or paper voucher
Many productions now use digital systems that allow you to complete paperwork before arriving on set.
If you're issued a paper voucher, always keep a copy for your records. If your production uses a digital voucher system, download a copy once your workday has been finalized.
You'll need your voucher if you have questions about your paycheck, unemployment, or tax documents.
