Background actors are paid through a payroll company hired by the production, not by the casting company.
Depending on the production, you may be asked to complete your payroll paperwork online before your work date or when you arrive on set. You'll also complete a voucher, which serves as your official record of the day you worked.
***ALWAYS KEEP A COPY OF YOUR VOUCHER
Your voucher contains important information, including the name and contact information for the payroll company responsible for issuing your payment.
- If you receive a paper voucher, make a copy or take a photo before leaving set.
- If your production uses a digital voucher system (such as RABS or Everyset), download a copy for your records.
