What is a bump?

Modified on Sun, 5 Jul at 5:13 PM

A bump is additional compensation paid on top of your base rate.

Bumps are predetermined by production and are typically offered when a role requires something beyond standard background work.

Examples may include:

  • Using your personal vehicle on camera
  • Providing specialty wardrobe
  • Performing a special skill
  • Working under unique filming conditions

If a role includes a bump, it will typically be listed in your booking information before you accept the job.
